Quest is a great fantasy adventure through a world of powerful gods, strange magic and dream cities, of mystical beasts guarding untold treasures. Take up your spellbooks and sword and begin your Quest.

You begin the game with 6 newly trained characters and can add 9 more through recruiting. Mixing in Fighters, Clerics, Mages and Rogues as you like. Improving their stats through training and battle.

G31 is 1 turn per week and can be played by email or post for £2.20.

G33 is 2 Turns per week and can be played by email for £1.10 or Post for £2.20.

Both of these also have a bonus catchup Turn for every 2 normal ones. So G31 gives you 3 Turns per fortnight. And G33 has 3 Turns per week. It's completely upto you what you use though.

G19 demo is free for 20 turns then you can transfer over to G20. Turns here are processed every few minutes all day long barring system crashes of course. Pricing options are as follows:

£2.00 for 10 turns
£5.00 for 40 turns
£10 for 7 days (168 hours) unlimited turns*
£30 for 31 days (744 hours) unlimited turns*

You must have money in your KJC account to pay for your Quest Online turns.

*With options 3 and 4, if for any reason the service stops, e.g. our Internet link goes down, your game clock stops and only restarts when service resumes.

Here's some info on the games Races and Classes/sub-Classes.

Races
Dwarf:
Dwarfs are the slowest to reach melee range (slowest combat-move-time), but have the highest hit speed (highest combat-hit-time). They have bonuses in Fighter Skill and Toughness/Health. They also have the highest base Flee Factor of all the Races.
Dwarfs are not very good with daggers, bows or polearms.
Dwarfs are good with crossbows, axes, warhammers and maces.
Dwarfs can be Archers, Footmen, Berserkers, Gladiators, Brawlers, Scouts, Paladins and Battle-Wizards.

Human:
Humans have a faster combat-move-speed than dwarfs, but have a slower hit speed.
Humans are generally all-rounders with weapons, but are quite decent with flails.
Humans can be Archers, Footmen, Berserkers, Peasants, Gladiators, Knights, Brawlers, Scouts, Paladins and Battle-Wizards.

Halfblood:
Halfbloods have a faster combat-move-speed than humans, but have a slower hit speed. They have bonuses in Thief Skill, Awareness and Toughness/Health.
Halfbloods are good with pole-arms, daggers, bows and crossbows, and exceptional with slings.
Halfbloods can be Archers, Footmen, Berserkers, Peasants, Gladiators, Brawlers, Scouts, Paladins and Battle-Wizards.

Elf:
Elves have the fastest combat-move-speed in the game, but have the slowest hit speed. They have bonuses in Mage Skill and Awareness. And a penalty in Toughness/Health.
Elves are good with daggers and swords and exceptional with bows.
Elves can be Archers, Footmen, Gladiators, Knights, Brawlers, Scouts, Paladins and Battle-Wizards.

Professions
Note: Professions/Specialty types are never offered to a group younger than 20 turns old in Quest Unlimited G20/19. Or Turn 5 in the other game worlds like G31/33. So all recruited Fighters will be Warriors, all Priests will be Clerics, all Thieves will be Rogues and all Mages will be Wizards 'til this stage.

FIGHTER - Warrior
The warrior has apprenticed to men at arms from early childhood. Generally from skivvying to preparing meals they have built up both stamina and certain tolerance for taking orders. They are not affected much by armour, and have an increased natural resistance to all types of physical damage. They are generally good with all weapons although up until their adventuring career they have not had any real experience.
Warriors can be any race, and can be recruited in any settlement.

Archer:
Archers are missile specialists. They get a speed bonus with missile weapons, a damage bonus with missile weapons, and skilled archers gain some armour-penetration with their shots.
Archers can be any race, and can be recruited in towns or villages.

Footmen:
Footmen are melee specialists. They get a speed bonus with melee weapons, a damage bonus with melee weapons, and are hardly affected at all by armour slowdown (they can wear plate with little speed difference to wearing cloth). Skilled footmen gain some armour penetration with melee hits.
Footmen can be any race, and can be recruited in cities or towns.

Berserker:
Berserkers have the fastest combat-move-speed of any type - they will reach melee range faster than any other class. They have a good melee damage bonus. They are very badly affected by heavier armours. They cannot be resurrected.
Berserkers can be Dwarfs, Humans or Halfbloods, and can only be recruited in villages.

Peasant:
Peasants are required to recruit knights (you only need 1 peasant for the maximum 3 knights). Peasants are average fighters, but get a speed bonus using polearms. Rumour has it that a lot of the huge swallowing type monsters like Dragons and Giants prefer the taste of this sub-class to any other though this is impossible to prove.
Peasants can be Humans or Halfbloods, and can only be recruited in villages.

Gladiator:
Gladiators have the highest melee damage of any type, but are badly affected by armours and are not particularly fast at reaching melee range. They cannot be resurrected.
Gladiators can be any race, and can only be recruited in cities.

Knight:
Knights require a peasant to be recruited, and you are limited to 3 knights. Knights have a high melee damage bonus, and are the least encumbered of any class by heavy armours. Skilled knights gain some armour penetration with melee hits.
Knights are trained to fight and this they do better than any others. They will insist that any party that wishes to recruit them is not cowardly. Thus they will only join parties that are not 'NA' Status, nor will they join a party with a Flee Factor of less than 60%. They detest thieves and will never adventure in their company though they will accept a Scout. Only the elite of society ever rise to the lofty heights of knighthood. It is therefore hardly surprising that they need a servant to fetch, carry and cook and clean their weapons for them. As such any party that would recruit a knight must make certain that a peasant is also present. Should your knight's servant meet an untimely end and is lost or buried, your next new recruit must be a peasant to replace him. While only three knights will ever band together, a single peasant will be enough to cater for all their needs. Long years of training means that even the heaviest of armours are little bother to them while their skill at arms allows them to strike lethal strikes with precision.
Knights can be Human or Elf, and can only be recruited in cities. Knights will not join a No-Attack party.

Brawler:
Brawlers are bare-hand specialists. They require no weapon and so require less "gearing up" than any other character, but they rely on their prime skill to be very effective. They are extremely fast (the fastest melee hitters when bare-handed), and heavier armours do not affect them too badly. Highly skilled brawlers can hit "enchanted" monsters without needing any enchant weapons equivalent, and can gain some armour penetration.
Brawlers can be any race, and can be recruited in any settlement.

THIEF - Rogue
A life of poverty has turned many of nimbler build into rogues. Rogues are opportunists by nature. They have fairly good skills at breaking and entering and even thieving from other groups but have also developed a skill for fighting as well. Living by their wits and often fleeing fast through cities after a surprise attack has meant that they have never had time for heavy armour and as such are encumbered by it.

Pickpocket:
Pickpockets live by their wits, having usually spent a lifetime stealing and avoiding capture. Due to the dexterity required to carry out their trade they avoid most armours, many preferring to wear nothing more than cloth armour. They are not very good in combat and most run away from it at the first sign of danger. Their own friends tend to distrust them as their opportunistic nature annoys others too much. Even priests refuse to resurrect pickpockets. All this is offset by their amazing skill at robbing, which is why many parties choose to recruit them.

Scout:
Scouts are a thief type. Scouts gain a damage bonus when using missile weapons. Highly skilled scouts can reveal otherwise invisible/hidden monsters on the map, and give detailed info on the makeup of monster groups - with higher skills detailing more groups.
Scouts can be any race, and can be recruited in any settlement.

PRIEST - Cleric
Clerics are trained in the worship of the entire pantheon. Many clerics will tend to favour a single god for a short time in order to cury favour or power but invariably they will drift between the various deities. As such they will never achieve the spiritual oneness that is needed to enter the temple of a specific god as an initiate. Due to the rigours of the faithful they have learnt to use some of the more common armours such as chain mail without overly slowing themselves down.

Paladin:
Paladins are a priest type. Paladins are largely unaffected by heavier armours, and have a higher combat-cast-speed than normal priests. Paladins require an alignment to a warlike god (2-3-4), and cannot be resurrected.
Paladins can be any race, and can be recruited in any settlement. Paladins will not join a No-Attack party.

MAGE - Wizard
Wizards are wandering mages that have invariably become bored with long studies and stuffy towers. They have a certain talent with the basics of magic and are able to shape the natural forces in the world through chanting and the use of special compounds. They have however sacrificed power for versatility and while some of their spells are devastating, they lack the finesse of the specialist mages. Long years of book work and the wearing of little more than fancy robes has meant that they have never developed a taste for the wearing of armour. Even after many adventures on the road, they are still heavily slowed by all but the lightest armours.

Battle-Wizard:
Battle-wizards are a mage type. Battle-wizards are largely unaffected by heavier armours, and have a higher combat-cast-speed than normal mages. Battle-wizards cannot cast higher level spells.
Battle-wizards can be any race, and can be recruited in any settlement.

Sorry somehow seem to have initially posted this in the Galac-Tac thread. Deleted that and moved it here. Sorry again.

Quest Unlimited G20 Hints and Tips.

Don’t forget the 5 standing orders. You’d be surprised how many new Players miss this.

Set 3 of the standing orders as Praying to all Gods so P 0’s. This will keep Priests skill rising each Turn at least into the 50’s. After that increases become much more random though you should still keep the 3 P 0 standing orders in place.

Buy your thief a lockpick 472 as this will help with robbing from shops.

Backpacks 467 will help with Load ratings as will Horses. Riding Horses will also help with movement rates.

Move to a City (1-20) as it has more shops and services. You also get a slightly bigger free map.

Buy a spade and shovel 465 to dig up treasure in the wilderness.

While gold is tight you can offer 202 gold for recruits. They won’t be great and probably only temporary at the very early stage of play. Stick with Dwarven and Halfblood fighters at this amount. Possibly Human.

When gold is flowing offer 2002 gold for the best recruits. Or 4004 gold in the case of Knights. Call Spirit Novala 903 and a few Luck of Novala’s 702 can’t hurt with stats.

Buy everyone a Mirror 451 as they’ll help against gaze attacks from some special monsters.

Combat is extremely dangerous early on so try to focus on using your Thief and have the Priests cast Novala’s luck type miracles to help.

As well as robbing shops you can also target NPC’s. To generate them just talk to shops with the T order. The Inn type shops selling sleep service 604 are usually best.

All stat training in Quest Unlimited G20 costs XP so that is just as important as gold.

Once you’ve built up 2000 XP you can buy Temple Quests 611 (TQ’s). There are several types and all very rewarding in gold and XP.

Once you’ve built up 4000 XP you can buy Library Quests 611 (LQ’s). There are several types of a mapping nature and all very rewarding in gold and XP.

Save the Dungeons at least until you’ve trained Health to 99 (max 250). They can have a lot of monsters stacked in each room. Giants stay on levels 3-10. And Dragons on 7-10.

Lairs are single level Dungeons often with just a few rooms but can obtain any random monster including some of the very worst types.

If you try to fight a monster that’s way too tough and would’ve resulted in many dead characters then the fight will be refused. This is thanks to the ‘anti-annihilation routine’.

Some huge monsters have a special ‘Swallow’ attack completely destroying characters including their horses. You can sometimes recover lost + items if you kill the monster of course. Most of the Giants and Dragons have this form of attack as well as a few others.

Quest Unlimited Demo G19 Playthrough

I’ve been meaning to write a guide for this game for quite a while. So will play through the 20 free Turns of G19 explaining things along the way. You only need money in your account for the transfer to G20.

The KJC site startup recommends 3 Fighters (Dwarf, Human and Halfblood), 1 Human Priest, 1 Elf Mage and 1 Halfblood Thief but I suggest something a little difference to focus on the Thief and avoid monster combat. At some stage I’ll probably write a second version that includes cheap 202 gold warrior recruiting and some combat.

My preferred setup has 4 Priests (1 of each Race), 1 Elf Mage and 1 Halfblood Thief. Starting characters do vary a lot in terms of stats between poor and slightly above average. It is random to say the least to the point where ancient players would suggest ditching them all for new 2002 gold recruits asap. But I’ll at least ‘try’ to make use of some of them. The reason for 4 Priests is that I’m hoping for near 40 skill on some of them and this at least gives me a fair chance. Their miracles will be vital support for the sneaky Thief. As for the Elf Mage they can start really poor especially in Toughness/Health so may need replacing.

What I aim to achieve in the 20 Turns of Demo G19 is to recruit decent priests and mages should they be required and to get the Thief to a skill where, with Priests miracle support, can target the difficult Banks and Jewels with fair success bringing in thousands each turn to allow 2002 gold Fighter sub-class recruiting after the transfer to G20.

And so, with that in mind let us begin with Turn 1 Party creation...

Well here is our Group startup. 1 Priest is ok with 44 skill and 50 health. The others will be expelled at some later point but will still be useful with miracles like Luck of Novala 702 for now. I'll recruit 1 more when golds flowing. Mage is poor with just 31 Health. I'll recriuit 2 later aiming for 50+ skill and 40+ Health. Thief is at least usable though i know they can often start with 50+ skill.

And here's our Turn 2 orders. Standing orders setup with 2 Investigates as Cities have lots of hidden shops. 3 Pray orders to start Priests skill improving eventually to 50+. You'll notice all the Priests skill has increased by 1 point from last turn. Thief 6 got a lockpick. Some Novala miracles were cast to help with shop robs. Journey bought to City. 3 Inn shops talked to generating 3 NPC's to rob. Alignment has started pushing to Novala thanks to Miracles and rob orders (this is important). Thief and Priests have gained some XP.

All went pretty well.

II  0  --  Standing order 1 now set to I  0.

II  0  --  Standing order 2 now set to I  0.

PP  0  --  Standing order 3 now set to P  0.

PP  0  --  Standing order 4 now set to P  0.

PP  0  --  Standing order 5 now set to P  0.

B  6  0  472  --  We surveyed all the shops and found what we were looking for in
shop number 36. The owner of Enenijad's Stores was having a snack, which he finished,
then dealt with us. Bilbo purchased a Lockpick costing 114 gold.

As a result of our chatting in the shop we were informed that Baldor is one of the
eight gods! Someone told us about the god.  See blurb below. On our way out of the
shop, the assistant pushed a piece of paper into our hands. Opening it, we read,
"You can investigate just about everything to find out more information about it,
even your own party!"

C  2  702  99  --  The party feels somewhat luckier. This spell cost 8 power points
and gave Faramir 16 experience points.

C  4  702  99  --  The party feels somewhat luckier. This spell cost 8 power points
and gave Elrond 16 experience points.

C  3  703  99  --  Our party became invisible for a while. This spell cost 12 power
points and gave Azog 24 experience points.

W  36  --  We sent Bilbo, with Elrond as look out. After a quick prayer to Novala,
we tried to break into Enenijad's Stores. It was easy getting in. We bagged
ourselves 121 gold. Bilbo gained 35 experience points. Elrond gained 17 experience
points.

W  37  --  We sent Bilbo, with Elrond as look out. Hugging the shadows, we
stealthily made our way towards Temple Of Baldor. We levered open a side window, and
were soon inside. Not quite a dragon's hoard, but we came away with 328 gold. Bilbo
gained 35 experience points. Elrond gained 17 experience points.

B  99  39  310  --  The manager of Journeys wasn't here, but an assistant looked
after us. We paid 108 gold, got our tickets and were shown where to go to the coach.

As a result of our chatting in the shop we learnt that Greenridge is roughly 3 days
southeast.

Someone showed us to the stagecoach pick up point, where we got bored waiting to
board until the stagecoach pulled up. The coach is run by the famous Trolls Gofar
line, who claim never to have lost a passenger (yet). We all decided how much we
hate this method of travelling. Eventually we arrived.

T  22  --  It took us a while to discover the shop. It's in the east side of the
city. The proprietor of Decaying Hobgoblin couldn't chat just now. We turned to talk
to the customers to have a gossip.
We met LUYOX, a dwarf priest(6839), but he wasn't very communicative.

As a result of our chatting in the shop we were told that Xanat is around about 3
days travel west.

T  24  --  It's in the east side of the city. Looking around the place, we noticed
it didn't seem too well defended. We had a discussion with the owner of Fireball
Blast who gave us some food while talking.

While we were in the shop we were offered a quest: Travel to the city of Antrose(1).
You're to safely take a message there and deliver it to the owner of Impaled Orc
(shop #24). For this task you will each receive 16 gold. You have until the end of
the next turn or game week to accept after which it may be offered to another party.
Do Y 1793 to start this mission.
We turned to talk to the customers to have a natter.
We met IGAAP, an elf townsman(5999), but he didn't tell us very much.

T  26  --  It took us a while to find the shop. It's in the west side of the city.
The owner of Impaled Orc was shutting up and escorted us to the door. We went in
search of any customers to have a gossip.
We met ONUN, a human(6365), but he didn't have much to say.

Standing Orders

I  0  --  Hurfleg was devoid of any other adventuring parties. We looked around some
of the shops and spotted a hidden shop, Half Built House(25), in the centre of the
city.

I  0  --  Hurfleg was devoid of any other adventuring parties. We looked around some
of the shops and found a hidden shop, Guides & Maps(46), in the south side of the
city.

P  0  --  Our priests started up a religious service. We are rewarded. More power to
the gods!

P  0  --  Our party rested while the priests sought spiritual enlightenment. The
gods are not displeased but more prayer is needed.

P  0  --  Our priests communed with the gods. No rewards this time. Perhaps next
time will be better.

Main focus this turn is on Novala miracles. Now that alignment is strong in that direction even our low skilled Priest can cast a useful miracle. Started robbing the temples as they are quite easy for a 40 skill thief. Also robbed the NPC's quite a bit more for XP than gold. Thief has gained some free skill points from 40 to 44 and XP to begin training next turn. Priests have of course gained another skill point from standing orders.

As it got dark, the local tavern became rowdy.
"Are you going to keep yapping all day little dog or are you going to bite?",
taunted a blonde townsman to a white haired local who leaped at the man. A fight
broke out. The bald Farmer kicked Faramir into the fire place. Bill, the Farmer went
down under a heap of bodies. Freddy, the Farmer whacked a chair leg over a
merchant's head. Humpty, the Farmer hit the buxom barmaid square in the face,
knocking her front teeth out.
One of the barmaids was dragged kicking and screaming to a quieter corner. Bodger,
the Farmer was pushed over in the frenzy. Thrug, the Farmer slipped on spilt beer,
crashing to the ground. Bilbo tripped over a prone body. The bald Farmer nutted a
swiftly raised plate.
The sound of metal on bone was barely audible above the shouting, but a barmaid

clutching his groin. With a look that could almost kill, the barmaid responsible
stared at everyone, the result being that the fight ended. We earned 4 experience
points.

Turn 11

Now we start really robbing the place for thousands of gold and lots of XP. The Insanity miracle 603 resets the difficulty level between 2 W orders and also stops you getting expelled from the settlement. Although a simple Locate order will get you back in with no problem. 3 W orders worked bringing Party gold upto just over 4k. Plus we got offered a fairly decent Elf Mage with 50+ skill and 40 Health. Could wait for slightly higher Toughness/Health but what the hell will accept him next turn. And try for another.

You may also notice the 3rd B 99 0 614 order failed as didn't quite have enough XP (200) for it.

and even chewed at the lock, but it wouldn't budge. We couldn't get in.

W  45  --  We realised that shop 45 is in the centre of the city. We visited the
shop there. We sent Bilbo, with Elrond as look out. After it went quiet, we

battleaxe! We're in. We helped ourselves to 1180 gold from the safe. Bilbo gained 85
experience points. Elrond gained 42 experience points.

W  36  --  We sent Bilbo, with Elrond as look out. Hugging the shadows, we
stealthily made our way towards Igob's Deposit. It was all for nothing - Bilbo tried

W  38  --  We sent Bilbo, with Elrond as look out. Once everything went quiet we
silently approached Igob's Credits. The attempt was unsuccessful - The place was

Turn 12

The W orders continue. You'll start to get comments like this after targetting the same shops ' We found less than expected due to previous burglars. Only 752 gold was stolen.' The gold will go down each time but you'll still get XP. This resets after a while or you could move on to a new City. We're also starting to steal a few gems. some of these sell quite well. Best i've ever stolen is the 1000 gold Mortant Gem.

We accepted the best Elf Mage offered last turn. Tried for more with 1 nice 1 showing up but promised myself 40+ Health so 39 not quite good enough. Perhaps being overly strict here but only on Turn 12 so can keep trying.

You might have also noticed this comment 'Overnight, we were robbed of 659 gold. With so much gold to watch, we were an easy target for thieves.' Til now it wasn't a problem but now you've over 5k on the Group so the auto-thieves swarm in. You can bank some to keep it safe or just take the hit. Buying sleep service 604 also gives you about 50% chance of not being robbed. This is only in settlements not roaming the wilderness.

C  3  903  99  --  A spirit aligned to Novala appeared and agreed to help our party
for the rest of the turn. This spell cost 12 power points and Azog gained 24
experience points.

C  7  603  99  --  Several townsfolk ran riot, causing chaos everywhere, by looting
shops and killing fellow citizens. This spell cost 12 power points and gained 24
experience points for Gloin.

C  1  703  99  --  Our party became invisible for a while. This spell cost 12 power
points and gained 24 experience points for Gimli.

W  44  --  We realised that shop 44 is in the west side of the city. We visited the
shop there. We sent Bilbo, with Elrond as look out. Hugging the shadows, we
stealthily made our way towards Chamaha's Gems. There was no trouble breaking in. We
ransacked the place and liberated 1143 gold. Bilbo gained 85 experience points.
Elrond gained 42 experience points.

W  45  --  We realised that shop 45 is in the centre of the city. We visited the
shop there. We sent Bilbo, with Elrond as look out. After dark, we approached
Iyplaleb's Gems. We levered open a side window, and were soon inside. Bilbo's
pockets are now lined with 1164 gold. We also got away with a Chiro Gem. Bilbo
gained 85 experience points. Elrond gained 42 experience points.

C  2  603  99  --  Several townsfolk ran riot, causing chaos everywhere, by looting
shops and killing fellow citizens. This spell cost 12 power points and Faramir
gained 24 experience points.

W  35  --  We realised that shop 35 is in the north side of the city. We visited the
shop there. We sent Bilbo, with Elrond as look out. When it was clear, we tried to
get into Igob's Cash. It was easy getting in. We found less than expected due to
previous burglars. Only 752 gold was stolen. Bilbo gained 85 experience points.
Elrond gained 42 experience points.

W  36  --  We sent Bilbo, with Elrond as look out. Hugging the shadows, we
stealthily made our way towards Igob's Deposit. The burglary failed - Bilbo picked,
hit, bit, wrenched and even chewed at the lock, but it wouldn't budge. We couldn't
get in.

C  4  603  99  --  Several townsfolk ran riot, causing chaos everywhere, by looting
shops and killing fellow citizens. This spell cost 12 power points and gave Elrond
24 experience points.

W  37  --  We sent Bilbo, with Elrond as look out. Convinced that all gold belongs
to us, we approached Igob's Withdraw in order to make a withdrawal. We levered open
a side window, and were soon inside. "Seems someone was here before us," said Bilbo.
We found 536 gold. Bilbo gained 85 experience points. Elrond gained 42 experience
points.

W  38  --  We sent Bilbo, with Elrond as look out. Bilbo was feeling lucky, so we
tried to break into Igob's Credits. We offered our thanks to Novala as the door
opened before us. "Next time we rob at first dark," said Bilbo having robbed a
miserly 343 gold. Bilbo gained 85 experience points. Elrond gained 42 experience
points.

X  22  Saruman  --  Saruman took 2002 gold from us. Saruman paid off the money

days southwest. The manager of Thieves Guild told us, "In general, the larger an
adventuring party, the tougher it is".

B  6  0  614  --  We searched the entire town and found what we were looking for in
shop number 30. The manager of Thieves Guild was most effusive in his greeting.
Bilbo couldn't afford a Thief Skill. Our party lent Bilbo the money for a Thief
Skill. Bilbo's experience has served him well. His ability has now increased by a
point.  and Bilbo now seems more alert.

As a result of our chatting in the shop we were told that Xanat is around about 12

Turn 15

Accepted best recruit. Thief skill now at 80. should probably move on to new city for more rewarding W orders but stayed here instead with gold getting less and less. Priests and mages looking good. should expel the 31 Health mage at some point. Priests are still useful even though will eventually just keep 3 and 7 as they at least have 50 health.

C  3  903  99  --  A spirit aligned to Novala appeared and agreed to help our party
for the rest of the turn. This spell cost 12 power points and gained 24 experience
points for Azog.

C  7  603  99  --  Several townsfolk ran riot, causing chaos everywhere, by looting
shops and killing fellow citizens. This spell cost 12 power points and Gloin gained
24 experience points.

C  1  703  99  --  Our party became invisible for a while. This spell cost 12 power
points and gave Gimli 24 experience points.

W  44  --  We realised that shop 44 is in the west side of the city. We visited the
shop there. We sent Bilbo, with Elrond as look out. After a quick prayer to Novala,
we tried to break into Chamaha's Gems. Bilbo scaled the side of the building and
climbed in through an open window. "Bloody thieves everywhere," whined Bilbo after
returning with only 251 gold. Bilbo gained 85 experience points. Elrond gained 42
experience points.

W  45  --  We realised that shop 45 is in the centre of the city. We visited the
shop there. We sent Bilbo, with Elrond as look out. After we made sure it was quiet,
we carefully approached Iyplaleb's Gems. It went wrong - Whoever made this lock sure
didn't want it to be picked! We walked away, ashamed and penniless.

C  2  603  99  --  Several townsfolk ran riot, causing chaos everywhere, by looting
shops and killing fellow citizens. This spell cost 12 power points and gained 24
experience points for Faramir.

W  35  --  We realised that shop 35 is in the north side of the city. We visited the
shop there. We sent Bilbo, with Elrond as look out. Once everything went quiet we
silently approached Igob's Cash. We failed to get in - We couldn't get into Igob's
Cash so came away with nothing.

W  36  --  We sent Bilbo, with Elrond as look out. When we saw the lights in Igob's
Deposit fade and the owner leave, we slowly approached. Our attempt to enter the
building failed - We kicked boxes over getting in. It made some noise, so we ran
away.

C  4  603  99  --  Several townsfolk ran riot, causing chaos everywhere, by looting
shops and killing fellow citizens. This spell cost 12 power points and gained 24
experience points for Elrond.

W  37  --  We sent Bilbo, with Elrond as look out. When it was clear, we tried to
get into Igob's Withdraw. The rusty old lock crumbled in Bilbo's hands. We went in.
Bilbo's searched through the wreckage of a prior robbery and found 95 gold. Bilbo
gained 85 experience points. Elrond gained 42 experience points.

W  38  --  We sent Bilbo, with Elrond as look out. Bilbo was feeling lucky, so we
tried to break into Igob's Credits. We got into the place. "Is this it? Is this
bloody it? 133 gold for all my work," bitched Bilbo. Bilbo gained 85 experience
points. Elrond gained 42 experience points.

S  5999  --  Bilbo was sent to try to steal from this NPC. Bilbo crept up silently
on him and looted his backpack. Bilbo filched 89 gold and gained 75 experience.

X  22  Radagast  --  We gave 2002 gold to Radagast. Radagast had to pay some bills.
Our newest party member just arrived: Radagast the elf mage and member number 9.
Radagast has eyes like a cat and reflexes as quick as a snake.

B  6  0  614  --  We searched the entire town and found what we were looking for in
shop number 30. We realised that shop 30 is in the south side of the city. We
visited the shop there. The manager of Thieves Guild displayed a lot of cordiality
as he served us. Bilbo couldn't afford a Thief Skill. Our party lent Bilbo the money
for a Thief Skill. Bilbo's experience has served him well. His ability has now
increased by a point.  and Bilbo now seems more alert.

During our conversation in the shop we were told that Baldor is one of the eight
gods! Rambling on like an old woman, the manager of Thieves Guild said to us, "The
battle reports found in newspapers, which can be bought from towns and cities, are a
good indication of how tough nearby monsters and parties are".

B  6  0  614  --  We searched the entire town and found what we were looking for in
shop number 30. The manager of Thieves Guild sent an assistant, who attended to us.
Bilbo couldn't afford a Thief Skill. Our party lent Bilbo the money for a Thief
Skill. Bilbo's experience has served him well. His ability has now increased by a
point.  and Bilbo now seems more alert.

During our conversation in the shop we were told that Gyia is around about 7 days
travel southwest.

Standing Orders

I  0  --  Hurfleg was devoid of any other adventuring parties. We looked around some
of the shops but we found nothing unusual.

I  0  --  Hurfleg was devoid of any other adventuring parties. We looked around some

P  0  --  Our priests meditated for a long time. The priests seemed to be
successful.

P  0  --  Our priests started up a religious service. No rewards this time. Perhaps
next time will be better.

P  0  --  Our party rested while the priests sought spiritual enlightenment. Gimli
wonders if an impure thought caused the lack of response.

We're in Hurfleg. We're too cheap to pay for an inn, so we camped overnight. We
consumed 9 rations and then slept overnight. We've not enough food for tomorrow.
Overnight, we regained 52 power points. We heard that you'll get these prices from
the city officials of Hurfleg(18): Orc Hides @ 24 gold and Lizard Man Hides @ 21
gold each.

Turn 17, 18 1nd 19 were the same as 16.

Turn 20

Sold plunder as it doesn't transfer over to G20. H 16 0 99 order. 3610 mainly from stolen gems. 5 Priests all capable of casting supportive miracles even the 1 that started on just 22 skill all thanks to those 3 P 0 standing orders. Now that some Priests have hit 50 skill you'll notice their increases becoming more random.

Thief skill of 90 out of 99 max will give a very strong W success Rate. You'll be bringing in 1000's of gold each Turn to fund the recruiting of 2002 gold Fighter sub-classes like Gladiators, Footmen, Archers, etc. Just remember to move cities once the gold from robs gets too low.

Now on Turn 20 they would be ready for transfer to G20 as Turn 21. Or you could drop them and begin again in Demo G19.

There is a 'Party Profile Form' on the kjc site for setting up details like shield emblem, party appearance and battle cry.

shop there. We sent Bilbo, with Elrond as look out. We waited until no one was about
then tried to enter Chamaha's Gems. We levered open a side window, and were soon
inside. Our burglary scared off some thieves. Hardly surprising we only got
ourselves 35 gold. Bilbo gained 85 experience points. Elrond gained 42 experience
points.

W  45  --  We realised that shop 45 is in the centre of the city. We visited the
shop there. We sent Bilbo, with Elrond as look out. After it went quiet, we
cautiously approached Iyplaleb's Gems. Bilbo whooped with joy as he managed to prise
open a window with his Thieve's Guild membership card. We saw a thief leaving as
Bilbo entered. Hardly surprising we only got 42 gold. We also stole a Chiro Gem.
Bilbo gained 85 experience points. Elrond gained 42 experience points.

we tried to break into Igob's Deposit. We failed to get in - The place was guarded
better than a dwarf's money belt! Bilbo had no chance, so we got out of there.

match for Bilbo's skills, so in we went. Many had already looted this building. We
only found 20 gold. Bilbo gained 85 experience points. Elrond gained 42 experience
points.

W  38  --  We sent Bilbo, with Elrond as look out. After dark, we approached Igob's
Credits. We failed to get in - We couldn't get into Igob's Credits so came away with
nothing.

S  5999  --  We despatched Bilbo to try and rob this NPC. Bilbo stealthily advanced
towards the sleeping NPC and robbed him blind! Bilbo filched 2 gold and gained 90
experience.

H  16  0  99  --  They took the Chiro Gem, the Chiro Gem, the Mycrom Gem, the Chiro
Gem, the Chiro Gem, the Chiro Gem, the Chiro Gem, the Chiro Gem, the Azimure Gem,
the Short Sword, the Leather Armour, giving us 3610.

B  6  0  614  --  We searched the entire town and found what we were looking for in
shop number 30. We realised that shop 30 is in the south side of the city. We
visited the shop there. The manager of Thieves Guild wasn't here, but an assistant
looked after us. Bilbo's experience has served him well. His ability has now
increased by a point.  and Bilbo now seems more alert.

While chatting in the shop we were told that Xanat is around about 12 sectors to the
west. On our way out of the shop, the assistant pushed a piece of paper into our
hands. Opening it, we read, "Paying to spend the night in respectable accomodation
makes your party a much harder target for a settlement's thieves".

B  6  0  614  --  We surveyed all the shops and found what we were looking for in
shop number 30.

While chatting in the shop we were told that Baldor is one of the eight gods!

SO's

the blessings and favour of the gods.

time will be better.

P  0  --  The Ring Bearers prayed to the gods, led by the priests. We got no answer
this time. The gods must be busy!

As it got dark, the local tavern became rowdy.
A quiet conversation turned to violence that swept through the tavern.
Dogs howled at the commotion. Bilbo dropped unconscious after drinking far too
much and being punched too often.
The landlord was thrown over his own bar. Radagast was attended to by a nice
barmaid. Saruman was sparked by a hank of mutton. Azog lay out-cold in a corner of
the bar. Elrond tumbled along the floor and fell through the trapdoor to the cellar.
Showing startling agility three dwarves stood upon each others shoulders and
careened around the common room, lashing out at all who came in reach. Gloin dropped
unconscious after drinking far too much and being punched too often. Faramir ended
up sleeping in the gutter. Gimli was left unconscious in a heap on the tavern floor.
Gandalf was knocked-out by a thrown barrel of beer.
The fight slowly wound down, crumpled forms scattered across the floor. Seizing
this opportunity the militia decided to make their appearance and began to arrest
the more seriously injured patrons.

We're in Hurfleg. We spent the night in town, sleeping rough. All food consumed. We
were able to buy some rations for 5 gold. Overnight, we were robbed of 601 gold.
With our pockets bulging with so much gold, it was hardly surprising we were picked
on by the settlement's low life. Overnight, we regained 55 power points. We heard
that you'll get these prices from the city officials of Hurfleg(18): Orc Hides @ 24
gold and Lizard Man Hides @ 21 gold each.

While planning out a more aggressive monster bashing Demo G19 Party i had a few thoughts to note down.

We'll use the Thief method again but this time to fund cheap temporary 202 gold Warrior recruits. Now they won't be great for this amount but should at least be usable to slay a few local easy monsters. We'll stick with Dwarf and Halfblood as they at least get some stat bonuses including Health. Possibly Human though their Health will be lower. Remember these will be replaced with more interesting 2002 gold Fighter sub-classes once you transfer over to G20.

With Turn Orders doing a lot more than working on the Thief you'll find his skill ends lower though will still be useful and will eventually max out over in G20. Turn will have J order for recruiting. 1 or more X order for accepting. And buying/equipping orders. Plus movement over monsters to get a fight. So yep the thief will lag compared with the 100% focus method shown before.

All Groups can borrow 1000 gold around Turn 7+. This will be used for recruiting and buying basic items. All characters will want cheap armour like cloth or leather, melee weapon, possible missile weapon, helmet, backpack and possibly shield if wielding a 1-handed melee weapon. Also later on useful gear includes torches, mirror and lockpick.

Give new recruits a weapon on the Turn you accept them. They will gain some free skill this way. This is especially important with Fighter sub-classes as they gain their skill level with that particular weapon type. Other Classes gain just a few points so don't worry about them so much. If you don't give a new recruit a weapon then they may get allocated a random 1 and it might be something you didn't plan on or want. Considering you can often recruit Dwarven Fighters with 50+ skill this free weapon skill is a real bonus.

We'll need to setup some auto-casting. Mainly on the Priests with Healing. Possibly Mages if they've anything useful to cast early on. Also set a hostile attitude to monsters so we don't simply talk to them peacefully. A 180 3. Flee factor is set low by default so this should be raised else your Group could be running away after just a scratch or 2. F 100. 100 does not mean all fight to the death as Race and Class also play a part. Halfblood Thieves are very cowardly. While Dwarven Fighters keep on fighting.

Just to give you an idea what 202 gold gets you i'll list a few examples. You'll be offered 3 recruits each time unlike the 5 for 2002 gold. 1 will be the Race/Class requested along with 2 other randoms. You'll notice how poor the stats are on the non-fighters so definitely leave them til you can afford 2002 gold. 2002 gold also gets you 5 recruits of the Race/Class requested and stats tend to be at least average to very good.

J  9  202  --  We sent our party around town to gather recruits, offering 202 gold, and dwarf fighters are what we are really interested in.

We noticed our recruitment offer being considered. The 3 new recruits are listed below. Use an X order to have any join. You will have to pay 202 gold to each one that joins.

Turn 1

Not the best of starts but what the hell. Priests skill is all weak. Will be 7 turns before 1 has access to call spirit 903 to help with robbing shops and npc's. Health overall is ok to good. No 20 health elf mages here. Meaning we can take a few hits should the need arise and yes it definitely will. 1 of the Mages has Enchant Weapon 1 spell though we could easily learn it later. This will be important as some monsters can only be hit by magical weapons and you really don't want to bump into them unprepared. +4 or better weapons would also do the trick. Lots of special creatures are hidden on the map without a skilled Scout to spot them which makes wandering the wilderness very dangerous. Monsters can also be hidden under others in the same map sector.

From now on the focus will be on thieving to fund 202 gold Dwarf Warrior recruiting and equipping. Though we will accept other Races of Warrior except for Elves.

Turn 2

Setup standing orders with an Investigate I 0, A recruitment order for 202 gold Dwarf Fighters J 9 202 and the standard 3 pray to all Gods orders P 0's to keep Priests skill improving each turn.

Bought Thief a Lockpick, Cast some Novala miracles, robbed 2 shops.

Bought Journey to nearby City, talked to few Inns and set attitude to all monsters as hostile. No friendly encounters here thanks.

We also had a brawl earning us 5 XP. This can happen when you're to cheap to pay for sleep 604 at an Inn or auto-sleep at 1 of your Alliance HQ shops. You can earn 100's of XP from such fights and i've never had a fatal one just few bruises.

2 Warriors have offered their services 1 Dwarf of course given our specific J order and a Human. Major difference in stats thanks to Racial bonuses. We'll accept them both next Turn thanks to the gold the Thief is bringing in.

II  0  --  Standing order 1 now set to I  0.

JJ  9  202  --  Standing order 2 now set to J  9  202.

PP  0  --  Standing order 3 now set to P  0.

PP  0  --  Standing order 4 now set to P  0.

PP  0  --  Standing order 5 now set to P  0.

B  6  0  472  --  We looked around town and found what we were looking for in shop
number 34. The proprietor of Upepipor's Stores appeared to be in good spirits as he
attended to us. Golum got a Lockpick for 124 gold.

During our conversation in the shop we were told that Baldor is one of the eight
gods! Someone told us about the god.  See blurb below. The assistant kept us
talking. We were told, "You can investigate just about everything to find out more
information about it, even your own party!"

C  2  702  99  --  The party feels somewhat luckier. This spell cost 8 power points
and gained 16 experience points for Faramir.

C  3  702  99  --  The party feels somewhat luckier. This spell cost 8 power points
and gained 16 experience points for Azog.

W  25  --  We sent Golum, with Azog as look out. Golum was feeling lucky, so we
tried to break into Ramuvan's Armour. Golum whooped with joy as he managed to prise
open a window with his Thieve's Guild membership card. We increased our party funds
by some 254 gold. Golum gained 60 experience points. Azog gained 30 experience
points.

W  34  --  We sent Golum, with Azog as look out. After the owner had closed the
building and left, we made tracks towards Upepipor's Stores. We got in easily. No
shop is safe from the likes of Golum. We gathered together 123 gold. Golum gained 35
experience points. Azog gained 17 experience points.

B  99  37  311  --  The manager of Journeys was delighted to meet us. We gave
payment of 138 gold, were given our tickets and were told where to go to the coach.

Someone showed us to the stagecoach pick up point, where we got bored waiting to
board until the stagecoach pulled up. The coach is run by the famous Trolls Gofar
line, who claim never to have lost a passenger (yet). Nothing disturbed our tedious
journey. It took a while, but we got there in the end.

T  22  --  It's in the centre of the city. The owner of Golden Plate couldn't chat
just now. We went in search of any customers to have a natter.
We met RILEBU, a dwarf townsman(6841), but he didn't tell us very much.

As a result of our chatting in the shop we learnt that Wittlo is roughly 5 days
northwest.

T  24  --  It took us a while to locate the shop. It's in the south side of the
city. Looking around the place, we noticed it didn't seem too well defended. We had
a discussion with the proprietor of Running Boar who wasn't very talkative.

During our stay in the shop a mission was offered to us: Journey to the village of
Kayjaycee(115). You're to go there, then return here with details of what prices are
being offered there for hides etc. For this task you will each receive 84 gold. You
have until the end of the next turn or game week to accept after which it may be
offered to another party. Do Y 1626 to begin this quest.
We went in search of any customers to have a natter. Unfortunately it was a most
unfriendly place.

As a result of our chatting in the shop we were told that Baldor is one of the eight
gods!

T  26  --  It took us a while to discover the shop. It's in the centre of the city.
Looking around the place, we noticed it didn't seem too well defended. We had a chat
with the proprietor of Silent Tower who didn't give a lot away.

While talking in the shop we got offered a task: Journey to the village of
Forthif(64). You're to safely take a message there and deliver it to the proprietor
of Jolly Little Gnoll (shop #21). For this task you will each get 26 gold. You have
until the end of the next turn or game week to accept after which it may be offered
to another party. Do Y 1995 to commence this task.
We went to look for customers to chat a bit. Unfortunately it was a most unfriendly
place.

While chatting in the shop we were informed that Phorensim is approximately 7 days
northwest.

A  180  3  --  Our goal in life? Kill all monsters.

SO's

I  0  --  Frane was devoid of any other adventuring parties. We looked around some
of the shops and found a hidden shop, Old Ruin(25), in the east side of the city.

J  9  202  --  We offered 202 gold for new recruits and are particularly interested
in dwarf fighters.

P  0  --  Our party rested while the priests sought spiritual enlightenment. Our
priests felt emotionally and spiritually fulfilled.

P  0  --  Our priests communed with the gods. The attention of the gods is elsewhere
at this time.

P  0  --  Our party's priests made many devotions. More prayer must be needed. We
will have to try harder next time.

As it got dark, the local tavern became rowdy.
"Those dice are loaded!" screamed a local. Before the rogue could escape the
tavern erupted into fisticuffs Thrundar, the Farmer jabbed at the blonde bar wench,
busting her bottom lip. The lippy Farmer punched the nearest person. The big eared
Farmer floored a farmer. "And stay down!". Palmer, the Farmer was smacked by a
hurled dog.
Dogs howled at the commotion. Borin slipped on spilt beer, crashing to the ground.
Thomas, the Farmer after being hurled over the bar, lay on the ground drinking wine
pouring from a keg. The big eared Farmer was dunked in the soup.
Two barmaids played tennis with some poor farmers face, each taking turns to slap
him silly.
A couple of old men started arguing about their bets. Golum was hurled through
the window and landed in the dung heap out back. Azog was last seen falling through
the trap door to the cellar. Saruman was attended to by a nice barmaid. Faramir
bounced twice and rolled out the door of the tavern to lay unconscious in the street.
Borin vomited and fell over out for the count.
A huge hulking warrior loomed over three dwarves, the shorter of the three made
an obscure gesture and muttered "We are not the dwarves you're looking for", the
hulking warrior nodded and replied "You're not the dwarves I'm looking for". Gandalf
collapsed in a drunken stupor on the floor.
The local guards burst in and cracked heads until the brawl ended. We earned 5
experience points.

We're in Frane. We slept in a barn, courtesy of a local. We consumed 6 rations and
then had a good night's rest. We regained 7 power points overnight. We noticed our
recruitment offer being considered. The 3 new recruits are listed below. Use an X
order to have any join. You will have to pay 202 gold to each one that joins. We
read a notice proclaiming that you'll get these prices from the city officials of
Frane(17): Gnoll Hides @ 24 gold, Kreourse Hides @ 200 gold and Snake Skins @ 100
gold each.

Turn 3

More Novala miracles, shop and npc larceny. Accept the 2 warrior recruits. 1 even has 50 gold left from the 202 spent.

Onto equipping. Time to buy them all a missile weapon in this case light crossbow (113). Buying for all with a B 99 0 113 order will only succeed if all characters have the required gold as they won't share in this case. That's why the N 99 order is done before so gold gets shared equally so they'll all definitely have enough. If you do a partial Part buy as with B 95 0 113 then gold is shared as required. Just the way the game works though does take some getting used to.

Flee Factor is set to 100%. Risky i know but don't want my Group fleeing from just a few bruises.

We've also been offered 2 more Warrior recruits. Dwarf and Halfblood. Health on both is good. Dwarf has the better skill and Halfblood has the better Awareness. Will definitely accept them both next Turn.

As another note you'll see we were offered a very weak Mage this turn. They always come knowing 2 low level spells so note the details down for the beginning of your Party Mages spellbook to learn later once they've got some powders. There are 65 spells in total so gaining a few to get the ball rolling can't hurt.

C  1  702  99  --  The party feels somewhat luckier. This spell cost 8 power points
and gave Borin 16 experience points.

C  3  702  99  --  The party feels somewhat luckier. This spell cost 8 power points
and gave Azog 16 experience points.

C  2  703  99  --  Our party became invisible for a while. This spell cost 12 power
points and gained 24 experience points for Faramir.

W  61  --  We realised that shop 61 is in the north side of the city. We visited the
shop there. We sent Golum, with Azog as look out. We waited for the dark of night
before pitting our wits against the defences of Temple Of Baldor. Novala's blessing
was with us as we crept into Temple Of Baldor. Under a loose floorboard, Golum found
281 gold. Golum gained 35 experience points. Azog gained 17 experience points.

W  63  --  We sent Golum, with Azog as look out. After a quick prayer to Novala, we
tried to break into Temple Of Garthrana. Golum stifled a yell of triumph as the lock
yielded and the door swung open. We happily "borrowed" 347 gold from the generous
proprietor. Golum gained 35 experience points. Azog gained 17 experience points.

S  6841  --  We despatched Golum to try and rob this NPC. Golum stealthily advanced
towards the sleeping NPC and located his money pouch. Golum filched 33 gold and
gained 95 experience.

S  6841  --  Golum volunteered to attempt stealing from this NPC. Golum crept up
silently on him but roused him from his slumber causing him to flee. Golum came back,
disgraced and downhearted.

S  6841  --  We despatched Golum to try and rob this NPC. Golum stealthily advanced
towards the sleeping NPC and searched around but could find nothing of value worth
taking. Golum reappeared, disgraced and downhearted.

S  6841  --  We despatched Golum to try and rob this NPC. Golum stealthily advanced
towards the sleeping NPC and searched around but could find nothing of value worth
taking. Golum reappeared, disgraced and downhearted.

S  6841  --  Golum volunteered to attempt stealing from this NPC. Golum approached
him cautiously and located his money pouch. Golum stole 16 gold and gained 80
experience.

X  25  Dorin  --  Dorin took the 202 gold. Dorin went on a bender and now has only
50 gold left! New to our party is Dorin, a dwarf fighter and our 7th member. Dorin
could be good in a fight.

X  17  Boromir  --  When Boromir joined, we paid 202 gold. Boromir had to pay some
bills. Keen to join our group is Boromir, a human fighter, the 8th member. Boromir
has huge muscles and will be a great fighter.

N  99  --  We split our funds amongst the party.

B  99  0  113  --  We looked around town and found what we were looking for in shop
number 51. The proprietor of Uvuhiben's Weapons said, "Hi! You're welcome here". All
party members went to buy a Light Crossbow. Everyone bought one.

When we were in the shop we got offered a task: Travel to the village of Thoj(96).
You're to locate Yopa's Weapons (shop #22) and buy 3 Axes(119). You will be given 58
gold for each one required that you bring back to the proprietor of Uvuhiben's
Weapons (shop #51). You have until the end of the next turn or game week to accept
after which it may be offered to another party. Do Y 2848 to undertake this mission.

As a result of our chatting in the shop we learnt that Wittlo is approximately 24
sectors to the northwest. Rabbiting on, the proprietor of Uvuhiben's Weapons's wife
told us, "Priest spells generally cost very few power points, so even the weakest
priests can cast several miracles each turn".

F  100  --  We're ready to fight to the death! Our flee factor is now 100%.

SO's
I  0  --  Frane was devoid of any other adventuring parties. We looked around some
of the shops and discovered a hidden shop, Ruined Hovel(27), in the east side of the
city.

J  9  202  --  We offered 202 gold for new recruits and are especially looking for
dwarf fighters.

P  0  --  Our priests started up a religious service. The priests seemed to be
successful.

P  0  --  Our priests purged worldly thoughts to commune with the gods. More prayer
must be needed. We will have to try harder next time.

P  0  --  Our priests meditated for a long time. Alas there was no skill increase.

We're in Frane. We're too cheap to pay for an inn, but spotted a deserted barn. We
consumed 8 rations before sleeping through the night. We regained 14 power points
overnight. Our offer seems to have aroused interest. The 3 applicants are shown
below. To have any join us, do an X order for each one. Don't forget it will cost
you 202 gold for each one. We read a notice proclaiming that you'll get these prices
from the city officials of Frane(17): Gnoll Hides @ 24 gold, Kreourse Hides @ 200
gold and Snake Skins @ 100 gold each.

SO's
I  0  --  Frane was devoid of any other adventuring parties. We looked around some
of the shops and found a hidden shop, Vandalised Shop(23), in the east side of the
city.

J  9  202  --  Our party went around town, offering 202 for recruits, and dwarf
fighters are what we are really interested in.

P  0  --  Our party rested while the priests sought spiritual enlightenment. The
gods are smiling upon the Kings Of Chaos today.

P  0  --  The Kings Of Chaos prayed to the gods, led by the priests. We got no
answer this time. The gods must be busy!

P  0  --  Our priests communed with the gods. We were told "Continue on your path
and you will get your rewards".

As it got dark, the local tavern became rowdy.
The tavern suddenly erupted into violence. The ugly Farmer floored a farmer. "And
stay down!". Giles, the Farmer was thrown through the air into a cowering merchant.
Hank, the Farmer floored a farmer. "And stay down!". Faramir after being hurled over
the bar, lay on the ground drinking wine pouring from a keg. The hairy Farmer went
down under a heap of bodies. Old Mac, the Farmer was held by a couple of farmers and
punched repeatedly. The thick Farmer kicked a fat merchant in the groin.
A dart sailed through the air to impale itself into a bum. Golum picked up a
barstool and smashed over a barmaid. "Do take a seat!". The big eared Farmer hit the
buxom barmaid square in the face, knocking her front teeth out. Thrundar, the Farmer
belted a skinny trader in the mouth. Freddy, the Farmer jabbed at the blonde bar
wench, busting her bottom lip. Faramir jabbed at the blonde bar wench, busting her
bottom lip.
A drunken mage stood in the corner of the room chanting a spell between gulps of
his ale. A piano materialised over his head, then fell to the ground squashing him
flat. The thick Farmer went down under a flurry of strikes from a barmaid. Dorin
smashed a farmer in the face. Faramir was dunked in the soup. Gorbag was slapped by
a barmaid. Borin was drenched in water and then slapped by a barmaid. Humpty, the
Farmer whacked a chair leg over a merchant's head. The ugly Farmer was slid across
the bar by the burly barman smashing glasses and bottles onto the tavern floor. Mung,
the Farmer was held by a couple of farmers and punched repeatedly. Faramir elbowed a
trader in the face. Old Mac, the Farmer was thrown through the air into a cowering
merchant.
Howls and screams were loud enough to raise the dead. Faramir bashed the fur clad
Farmer using the landlord as a club. Saruman belted a skinny trader in the mouth.
A huge hulking warrior loomed over three dwarves, the shorter of the three made
an obscure gesture and muttered "We are not the dwarves you're looking for", the
hulking warrior nodded and replied "You're not the dwarves I'm looking for". Mung,
the Farmer hit the buxom barmaid square in the face, knocking her front teeth out.
Gandalf whacked a chair leg over a merchant's head. Saruman punched the nearest
person. The fur clad Farmer hit the red haired barmaid with a clean uppercut. She
bit the end off her own tongue as the punch connected with her chin. Gandalf caught
a mistimed punch in their hand. The bones in Mung, the Farmer's hand were crushed by
the dwarves powerful grip. The big eared Farmer was cracked over the head with a
chair. The hairy Farmer punched the wall when the farmer ducked. Mung, the Farmer
ran back into the tavern, having been thrown through a window.
The barmaids ganged up and sorted out the problem using a combination of water
drenching and empty jug strikes, the fighting quickly ended. We earned 24 experience
points.

We're in Frane. We spent the night in town, sleeping rough. We consumed 10 rations
and then slept overnight. We regained 19 power points overnight. Our recruitment

Turn 6

Same as last Turn though we don't buy a x bow for the new recruit but hand him a spare from character 7 with H  7  13  142465. 1 warrior recruit pops up.

C  1  702  99  --  The party feels somewhat luckier. This spell cost 8 power points
and Borin gained 16 experience points.

and Azog gained 16 experience points.

C  2  703  99  --  Our party became invisible for a while. This spell cost 12 power
points and Faramir gained 24 experience points.

W  73  --  We sent Golum, with Azog as look out. After a quick prayer to Novala, we
tried to break into Temple Of Novala. Novala's blessing was with us as we crept into
Temple Of Novala. We gathered together 311 gold. Golum gained 35 experience points.
Azog gained 17 experience points.

W  75  --  We realised that shop 75 is in the north side of the city. We visited the
shop there. We sent Golum, with Azog as look out. After a quick prayer to Novala, we
tried to break into Temple Of Phyloqure. We got into the place. We made off with 277
gold. Golum gained 35 experience points. Azog gained 17 experience points.

S  6841  --  Golum volunteered to attempt stealing from this NPC. Golum carefully
sneaked up and looted his backpack. Golum managed to get away with 52 gold and
gained 75 experience.

X  25  Jorin  --  Jorin took the 202 gold. Jorin went and paid off some debts.
Wanting to join us on our adventure is Jorin, a dwarf fighter, who becomes our 13th
member. Jorin has a well developed body.

H  7  13  142465  --  Jorin took a Light Crossbow from Dorin.

B  6  0  614  --  We surveyed all the shops and found what we were looking for in
shop number 73. We realised that shop 73 is in the centre of the city. We visited
the shop there. The chief priest was having a snack, which he finished, then dealt
with us. Golum's experience has served him well. His ability has now increased by a
point.  and Golum now seems more alert.

During our conversation in the shop we learnt that Phorensim is roughly 7 days
travel northwest. An old crone sitting on a stool in the corner of the shop cackled,
"Even though you may have a friendly attitude, some aggressive monsters may still
decide to attack you! Also, normally peaceful creatures may attack you to protect
their territory, so be ready for combat at all times".

B  6  0  614  --  We looked around town and found what we were looking for in shop
number 73. The chief priest looked hungry for our gold. Golum couldn't afford a
Thief Skill. Our party lent Golum the money for a Thief Skill. Golum's experience
has served him well. His ability has now increased by a point.  and Golum now seems
more alert.

While chatting in the shop we were informed that Orcsdrift is nearly 27 sectors to
the northwest.

northwest.

SO's
I  0  --  Frane was devoid of any other adventuring parties. We looked around some
of the shops and found a hidden shop, Thieves Guild(30), in the south side of the
city.

J  9  202  --  We sent our party around town to gather recruits, offering 202 gold,
and are keen on dwarf fighters.

P  0  --  Our priests started up a religious service. The gods are smiling upon the
Kings Of Chaos today.

P  0  --  Our priests led worship to the gods. We got no answer this time. The gods
must be busy!

P  0  --  Our priests led worship to the gods. We got no answer this time. The gods
must be busy!

We're in Frane. We spent the night in town, sleeping rough. We consumed 13 rations
before sleeping through the night. In 4 days or less, our food will run out, so we'd
better get to a food shop, or start looking for food in the wilderness using the I 0
order. We regained 24 power points overnight. Our offer seems to have aroused
interest. New applicants statistics are shown below for 3 candidates. To have any
join, use an X order. You must pay 202 gold to each applicant you accept. We read a
notice proclaiming that you'll get these prices from the city officials of Frane(17):
Gnoll Hides @ 24 gold, Kreourse Hides @ 200 gold and Snake Skins @ 100 gold each.

Turn 8

Similar to last turn with new recruited handed a spare x bow. H  8  15  142466

Also we've borrowed money from the bank to help with equipping everyone next Turn. B  99  36  1000

Now the Party is at a full 15 we could change the J 9 202 standing order to something else like I 99 or I 0. Or just leave it to maybe get some new spell numbers. But i just left it as it was.

You may notice a few characters have spare l x bows. could be useful later if we lose a fight with deaths and need to re-equip the resurrected.

C  1  702  99  --  The party feels somewhat luckier. This spell cost 8 power points
and Borin gained 16 experience points.

C  3  702  99  --  The party feels somewhat luckier. This spell cost 8 power points
and gave Azog 16 experience points.

C  2  703  99  --  Our party became invisible for a while. This spell cost 12 power
points and Faramir gained 24 experience points.

W  59  --  We realised that shop 59 is in the north side of the city. We visited the
shop there. We sent Golum, with Azog as look out. After it went quiet, we cautiously
approached Owatal's Stores. It was easy getting in. We stuffed our pockets full of
138 gold. Golum gained 35 experience points. Azog gained 17 experience points.

W  60  --  We realised that shop 60 is in the east side of the city. We visited the
shop there. We sent Golum, with Azog as look out. Once everything went quiet we
silently approached Abracadbra Magic. We blew it! - Groaning softly and belching
loudly, Golum blamed the infamous rabbit stew eaten earlier.

S  6841  --  Golum was sent to try to steal from this NPC. Golum carefully sneaked up
and robbed him blind! Golum filched 57 gold and gained 35 experience.

S  6841  --  We despatched Golum to try and rob this NPC. Golum carefully sneaked up
but roused him from his slumber causing him to flee. Golum reappeared, ashamed and
crestfallen.

S  6841  --  We despatched Golum to try and rob this NPC. Golum approached him
cautiously and looted his backpack. Golum filched 21 gold and gained 90 experience.

S  6841  --  We despatched Golum to try and rob this NPC. Golum carefully sneaked up
and robbed him blind! Golum stole 54 gold and gained 85 experience.

S  6841  --  Golum volunteered to attempt stealing from this NPC. Golum carefully
sneaked up and picked his pockets. Golum stole 12 gold and gained 65 experience.

X  25  Porin  --  Porin accepted 202 of our hard earned gold. Gambling never pays!
Porin only has 69 of the gold left. The 15th member of our party is Porin, a dwarf
fighter. Porin could be good in a fight.

H  8  15  142466  --  Porin took a Light Crossbow from Boromir.

S  6841  --  Golum volunteered to attempt stealing from this NPC. Golum carefully
sneaked up and robbed him blind! Golum stole 32 gold and gained 90 experience.

S  6841  --  Golum volunteered to attempt stealing from this NPC. Golum crept up
silently on him and located his money pouch. Golum stole 24 gold and gained 80
experience.

B  99  36  1000  --  The manager of Clupetor's Cash rushed over, then served us. The
money lender examined our appearance, possessions and then came up with the maximum
to lend us: 1000 gold. He was glad to see that we didn't overestimate our value!
After giving us the money, he pointed out that we have 15 days to repay it (+20%).
ie 1200 gold. It would be most unfortunate if it were not repaid . . . (see blurb
below).

During our stay in the shop this venture was offered to us: Journey to the village
of Jackson(71). You're to transport an important message there and deliver it to
Fove (shop #22). For this task you will each receive 14 gold. You have until the end
of the next turn or game week to accept after which it may be offered to another
party. Do Y 3692 to go this mission.

During our conversation in the shop we learnt that Hart Stop is nearly 45 sectors to
the northwest. The assistant kept us talking. We were told, "If you don't know where
a particular settlement is located, there is a good chance that a character in your
party does, and will be able to lead the party to it".

SO's
I  0  --  Frane was devoid of any other adventuring parties. We looked around some
of the shops and discovered a hidden shop, Ucogidil's Powders(32), in the east side
of the city.

J  9  202  --  We sent our party around town to gather recruits, offering 202 gold,
and are especially looking for dwarf fighters.

P  0  --  Our party rested while the priests sought spiritual enlightenment. We
received the blessings and favour of the gods.

P  0  --  Our party's priests made many devotions. We got no answer this time. The
gods must be busy!

P  0  --  Our priests communed with the gods. The gods must have lots to do. They
don't appear to have heard.

We're in Frane. We're too cheap to pay for an inn, so we camped overnight. We
consumed 15 rations and then had a good night's rest. In 2 days, our food will be
gone, so we'd better get to a food shop, or start looking for food in the wilderness
using the I 0 order. We regained 26 power points overnight. Our recruitment offer
attracted interest. The 3 new recruits are listed below. To have any join us, do an
X order for each one. You must pay 202 gold to each applicant you accept. We read a
notice proclaiming that you'll get these prices from the city officials of Frane(17):
Gnoll Hides @ 24 gold, Kreourse Hides @ 200 gold and Snake Skins @ 100 gold each.

Turn 9

Time for some spending! The N 99 shares gold equally so hopefullly everyone buy this stuff as planned. You can look around for best prices to save a few gold or just buy from shop 0 while will have you go to the 1st available source for the item. Bought everyone cloth armour, club and helmet using shop 0. Decided to use shop 54 for cheapest small shields.

I've included the full Cities shoplist. Here in Quest Unlimited G20/19 you have it covering all suburbs of which there can be 5. In the other game worlds like G31/33 you get the suburbs seperately 1 by 1.

tomorrow. Overnight, we regained 27 power points. Our offer seems to have aroused
interest. The 3 applicants are shown below. Use an X order to have any join. You
