Playing a male Human Priest called Jorn Amblecrown of the Golddrop Family. Focus is on Healing through miracles, skills and herbalism.

Most stat points in Wisdom with a little in Intelligence. Physical stats are very weak. He will not be melee/missile fighting much.

Looking forward to playing this.

Jorns adventure begins in the Cty of Narabad. Having only just arrived with very little knowledge of the place so there will be much to explore and learn. Starting of course with a visit, pray and tithe to the temple of Ikinadari (The God of Light, The Light Bringer, The Giver of Life, Father of Life.) A few other adventurers have already stopped by to say hello. Including an Elven Priest called Titus. He brings worrying news of a Plague and hints that it may be deserved. This could be the perfect test of my faith and healing skills since finishing training at the temple.

GM Gads has gathered just over 30 adventurers so far with about 10 still at the character creation stage. He's also sent out a colourful map for a nearby village called Bordon. How any GM keeps track of everything while staying sane in hand-moderated games like this is completely beyond me!

The easy answer to that is: I am not sane.  Wanting to run a hand-moderated game is a clue to ones sanity :-)

LOL Does this mean your players are in for an insane adventure?

You could say that.  There is one player who has been rather unfortunate with a combo of decisions AND my dice rolls.  Made me smile...a little.  Infact I am due to process his turn next.  I'm sure his run of initial bad luck has fizzled out now.  I hope so.

Lady luck can be very cruel sometimes. I shall be playing your game very slow and cautious.

I don't know what's up with these last 2 posts.  I try to do a simple reply and it includes 8 copies even though I only pushed the button once.  So we'll skip that and do it this way:

TV MIKE:

Is Bordon the town to the NE of Narabad?  I had a town symbol show up on my map this last turn and wanted to put a name to it.

The town to the south is Northgate.

I don't think that is Bordon. Another player came up with nature based Bordon as their home town. And GM Gads decided a few of us could be from there so know each other even if only slightly. Hopefully this'll make things easier like meeting up, planning and travelling.

Well he created a pretty large world so might as well make use of it and start players someplace else beside Narabad.

What area of the map is Bordon located in? On the Detailed Map of Caledon he has Narabad is just east of that big island in the middle, with (not shown) Northgate to the south on the coast and another village just to the NE 5 hexes away.

Not that i'm an expert (or may never will be) as only on Turn 1 or maybe 2. Narabad is where we meet now to begin adventuring from having travelled from wherever we were born, raised and trained. In my (and a few other players) case Bordon a nature/animal/neutral/peaceful based place so Druids, Rangers, Hearbalsits, Healers and others of that ilk can come from here if they wish. And then know each other at the very start of the game though they don't have to know each other of course or evenn be friendly or have similar aims in life. I do know a few fellow adventurers have lived their entire lives in Narabad but that may be upto the GM to decide.

From what I gather players will start of the same island/location until there are too many players then other places will start being used and may even need some other Player/GM in charge. Could be completely wrong as we are very much at the beginning of this journey. Looking foward to it all as i've very little experience with this type of gameplay. My RPG knowledge is is face-to-face only and from many years back.

Hope that made sense as my PC keyboard is playing up since cleaning it earlier and keep getting double-presses on keys.

Sorry for slow reply but couldn't help thinking how you'll be safe then GrimFinger. As only the cruelest most sadistic GM having the worst day would inflict terrible bad luck onto a players startup character right??? Angel

Jorns adventures continue...

After speaking with a kindly old Priest perhaps that deidicated life is not for me as it does not seem to fit in with a wandering adventurers life. Leaving me with much to consider as i'd thought my path set in stone.

A local Herbalsit has asked for help in gathering local plants and preparing them. News abounds of the wilds being dangerous so i'm hoping not to have to go alone.

Worst of all the streets are abuzz with news of murder! By a fellow Priest no less. Surely this cannot be so? Were we not trained to Heal not to hack?

Nearly missed Turn as it went to spam and i rarely check. Eventually spotted if nearly 2 weeks late. Did discover Turn is also on the games website in private Vault section. Thought things were taking a while but just figured thats how the game is.
